About Me

By popular demand, this is a home for the work of James "Danger" Squires (Maguire). You may have heard of him. More likely not, but feel free to nod and say you have. Smile, gently stroke your beard and say things like "I preferred his first album." It's okay… we understand. Nobody has heard of everybody. But for those who aren't yet 'in the know,' here is a brief summary.

Squires are a man, not too dissimilar to many other men, with a passion for cartoons and boat building. Building his first boat at the age of 9, he attended the prestigious Cambridge boat-building academy and finished first in his year- with honours. But as he aged, the years were unkind to him. At the academy he had fallen in with a bad crowd, and years of drug and alcohol abuse left him incapable of coherent thought. This is when he started talking entirely in third person. As his mental and physical state deteriorated, he started walking only in circles, and the boats he built became more and more unpredictably impractical. Often they wouldn't float, would have many unnecessary attachments. One had eighteen periscopes. This is a lot, for a boat. Eventually when his behaviour was at its most erratic, due to his now near-constant muscular spasms and lack of any discernable arms or legs, Squires was told by his doctor that he would never be able to build another boat. He took one last boat trip around the harbour and retired his boat-tools and boat-coat.

Instead, reluctantly, he fell back on a long-forgotten passion, that of drawing stupid little pictures. This, not the boating, is what we dedicate this particular website to. Included in the pages that follow are many of his stupid pictures and some other things, and some of it might be of use to you, I really can't say for sure. It should be updated fairly regularly, probably. Depends on things. Get off my back.

You asked for it, so here it is. We don't have all the answers, but we have a lot. We have ten of them.
